My Mum's 76th, my grandaughter Poppy's 9th, Mark's (undisclosed) and Chibber's 100th gig. What a celebration!
The Duke was hot and heaving. My cousin and her husband made it over from the USA and I got to play for them which was a privilege in itself. Lots of people we knew, more that we didn't. I'm seriously thinking about not reporting any future gigs at the Duke for fear that other bands will get in on the act and benefit from the quite extraordinary welcome we receive here. Bless you all - tonight was a blisteringly, sweatily, joyfully, smilingly, dancingly, exceedingly jolly occasion - another one we won't forget in a hurry.
